Learning to walk

Today was the first walk I took the boys on without Dan assisting. It went really, really well! I used their amazing muscle power to actually keep them from pulling. I tied both leashes together at the lower handles, then put the connection behind my back. Then, I loosely held the connected leashes with my arms relaxed at my side. Since both dogs were side by side, they could only pull against one another. I was between them, so they didn't both fixate on a single target. There was one time where they saw a person, but they ended up pulling apart from one another and instantly fell back into place calmly at my side. It was really nice, all of our energies flowing together through the connected leashes. Seeing them evenly placed, heads down,working together, it dawns on me that they might be great little cart dogs, if you ever want to hook one up to sit in with Presley! There wasn't even any tension on their leashes. They were just working together, it was a lot of fun.

Even though it was raining a little :)
