The Company.

PetMinders was founded in 2003 when helping a few friends and their pets became a full time job.

It started as one dog that we walked for an elderly couple who couldn't keep up with their energetic husky. That led to us caring for their son's king charles cavalier during his monthly, sometimes, weekly business trips. Then, a friend of the family asked us to drop by and help take care of her menagerie while we were in the neighborhood (with the cavalier).

Meanwhile, rumor got around that we were in the pet care business, and the phone started ringing as people we didn't even know were asking if we could drive halfway across town to exercise their golden retrievers, great dane, dog de bordeax, chesapeake bay retriever, parrots, and assortment of housecats while they were chained to a desk from 9-5, or out of town.

When we realized we were spending sunrise to sunset trying to keep up with our friends', and their friends', and their friends' busy pet schedules, we decided it was time to make a business.

Years have gone by and we've honed our services, and more importantly, our service area, to provide reliable and personal pet care to McKinney.

The People.

Eve manages the business end of Petminders, and keeps out on the front lines with dog walks and overnight stays. She has worked as an adoption counselor and vet tech before co-opening PetMinders for business in McKinney.

Dan is a lifelong animal lover who is just as much at home with Great Danes and Great Pyrenees as a Russian Blue or Persian. He specializes in large breeds and fast ball fetch.

Terry, owner of K9 Koach, works in cooperation with Petminders to offer both personalized one on one training and group sessions.
